The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, participated in the meeting.

The event was also attended by senators, chairpersons of local Councils of People's Deputies, members of permanent commissions, active young people from the regions, and representatives of the mass media.

As noted, over the past five years, members of the Youth Parliament have gained experience by working alongside senators in various fields, achieved specific results within the framework of the new institution, and proved their importance.

A practical reflection of this is that two members of the Youth Parliament were elected as deputies of the Legislative Chamber, while 20 others regained the trust of the people and were elected as deputies of local Councils.

Due to the expiration of the Youth Parliament’s term, a renewed composition was formed. According to the developed regulations, the new composition includes 84 deputies under the age of 30, recommended by local Councils, 10 representatives from the Youth Affairs Agency, and 6 representatives from the relevant Senate committee.

Thus, the new composition of the Youth Parliament, consisting of 100 members, was approved.

Among the newly elected members, 13 have been awarded various state honors, 11 have graduated from foreign higher education institutions, 95% hold higher education degrees, and 30% are women.

Undoubtedly, the quality composition of the new Youth Parliament, which includes lawyers, economists, educators, entrepreneurs, environmentalists, as well as representatives of culture, sports, and healthcare sectors, will contribute to effective work in all areas.

During the meeting, an organizational matter was discussed. Laylo Aslonova was unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the Youth Parliament. Additionally, Ibrohimjon Juraboyev and Azizbek Ochilboyev were confirmed as Deputy Chairpersons. Moreover, the chairpersons of the Youth Parliament’s commissions and their members were also elected.

After the organizational matters, Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, in her speech, highlighted the priority tasks that the Youth Parliament should focus on.

In particular, the importance of actively participating in the legislative process, proposing improvements to youth-related laws, thoroughly studying youth employment issues in the regions, identifying systematic problems, and assisting in their resolution was emphasized.

Additionally, it was stressed that the Youth Parliament should actively engage in awareness campaigns to prevent youth crime, as well as violence and harassment against children and women. Cooperation with youth parliaments of foreign countries and experience-sharing were also highlighted.

Furthermore, recommendations were given on establishing collaboration with mass media to widely publicize the projects and activities of the Youth Parliament, organizing work based on a clear media plan, and regularly covering their activities on the Internet and social media platforms frequently used by young people.

Several important proposals and initiatives were put forward by the participating young people.

Additionally, the priority tasks and future plans of the Youth Parliament were outlined.
