Today, an open meeting took place in the city of Samarkand between the youth and Alisher Sa’dullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency. During the meeting, young people presented several important proposals. Each initiative was personally overseen by the Director of the Agency, and some issues were resolved on the spot.
Specifically, Abdulaziz Suyarov from Samarkand City proposed organizing business simulators to enhance the skills and knowledge of young entrepreneurs and developing their activities in collaboration with USAID’s Business Support Project.
Bobur Astanov from Samarkand District introduced innovative ideas aimed at utilizing renewable energy sources. He suggested implementing “Smart Benches” and “Smart Stops” projects to promote green energy among the population. These initiatives were acknowledged during the dialogue and highlighted for future support.
Moreover, last year at the “Leaders and Youth” meeting, Samarkand native Abbosbek sought practical assistance from the Agency Director to publish a book compilation titled “Renaissance,” featuring creative works by the most talented youth in the region. Thanks to the support provided during that meeting, his initiative was realized. The book was published in 500 free copies, with one copy presented to the youth leader.
This open dialogue became a significant step in encouraging creative initiatives, implementing innovative ideas, and supporting the youth in their endeavors. Such meetings will continue in the future to strengthen engagement with the youth.
