Efforts to create convenient and safe transport infrastructure for the population and to ensure road safety are continuing in the Yangiqorgon district. Currently, a bridge crossing the Bekobod stream—located on the "Baliqqol – Iskovot" highway—is being reconstructed. Today, Regional Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov visited the site to inspect the ongoing construction work. He received updates from those in charge regarding the project's progress, the work completed so far, and the tasks ahead. He provided specific recommendations and instructions, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to quality standards, the completion of work within the established deadlines, and the implementation of robust safety measures. For years, this bridge has played a vital role in local travel. However, during periods of flash flooding, its condition became hazardous, creating significant difficulties for both residents and vehicles. The ongoing reconstruction will resolve these issues, easing the burden on the local population and further enhancing road safety. The project is being implemented with 6.4 billion soums allocated from the Natural Disasters Fund. The new bridge will be 12 meters wide and 24 meters long. To date, a detour has been established at the construction site, and the old bridge has been demolished. Additionally, 40 concrete piles have been driven, the area beneath the bridge has been leveled, the reinforcement framework for the concrete has been assembled, and the concrete pouring process has been completed.
