In accordance with the legislation, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, additional measures will be implemented to support pregnant students and those raising children under the age of 3.
According to the decree of the Head of our State dated March 3 of this year, “On additional organizational and legal measures to strengthen the protection of the rights of women and children, as well as to prevent cases of harassment and violence against them”:
-
As an exception, individuals who have been held back a year or expelled from the student body will be granted the opportunity to continue their education. The requirement to clear the academic difference in subjects will still apply.
-
Students will be provided with additional time to independently fulfill academic differences, along with the creation of all necessary conditions.
-
Furthermore, during academic leave, at the student's request, an opportunity to continue studies through distance learning will be established.
-
It is also planned to create further accommodations by expanding distance learning programs and admission quotas.
Separate statistical records will be maintained for this category of students. These initiatives will significantly contribute to ensuring the continuity of education and empowering young mothers with greater rights and opportunities.
