Kazakhstan has imposed restrictions on the import and transit of certain products from the Russian Federation.

The Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced that, due to the complicated epizootic situation in the Russian Federation, and in order to ensure a stable epizootic situation and prevent the spread of especially dangerous animal diseases within Kazakhstan, temporary restrictions have been introduced as of 24 February 2026 on the import and transit of certain products.
❌ The restrictions apply to:

live farm animals;
-
genetic material obtained from them;
-
meat and meat products;
-
milk and dairy products;
-
products, raw materials, and goods that have not undergone heat treatment;

used equipment intended for keeping, slaughtering, and processing animals;

hunting trophies of animals;
-
animal-origin feed and feed additives
(except those subjected to heat treatment at a temperature of at least 70 °C); -
plant-origin feed and feed additives, as well as products of chemical and microbiological synthesis.
📍 The restrictions apply to imports and transit from and through the territory of the Russian Federation, including the following regions:
Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Kurgan, and Orenburg regions.
