The 5th International Pharmaceutical Forum Has Started Its Work

The 5th International Pharmaceutical Forum of Uzbekistan has commenced in Tashkent, dedicated to modern trends in the global pharmaceutical market, modernization of the healthcare system, expansion of access to innovative medicines, and localization of pharmaceutical production.
Held on June 11–12, 2026, at the InterContinental Tashkent Hotel, the forum has brought together more than 250 delegates from over 20 countries, becoming an important platform for strategic dialogue and international cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector across Central Asia.
The event was opened by Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industries. In his speech, he highlighted the large-scale reforms being implemented in the pharmaceutical sector of Uzbekistan, emphasizing that pharmaceuticals represent a promising and rapidly developing area for the country. At the same time, he noted that sustainable sectoral growth requires consistent and systematic efforts.
Within the framework of the forum, participants are discussing key issues related to the development of the pharmaceutical industry, localization of production, attraction of investments, improvement of the medicine supply system, introduction of digital technologies into the sector, and ensuring access to high-quality and safe medicines for the population.
During the forum, participants are expected to discuss investment projects, technology transfer, further improvement of the pharmaceutical market, and initiatives aimed at expanding public access to quality medicines.
