According to general statistics on the use of digital technologies and the internet in Uzbekistan, as of January 2025, the number of internet users in the country has reached 32.7 million, representing 89% of the total population. This indicates a high level of interest in online educational platforms.
Based on Presidential Decree No. 149 titled “On Measures to Further Improve the Efficiency of the Activities of the National Anti-Doping Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the Framework of Administrative Reforms”, the talim-uznada.uz platform was launched to strengthen the knowledge of athletes in the field of anti-doping. The platform is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of athletes, coaches, and sports doctors regarding anti-doping.
From the beginning of 2025, it has been made mandatory to obtain a certificate through this platform in order to participate in national championships and cup competitions. Currently, the number of users of the platform has reached 17,000, with 14,700 of them successfully completing the course and receiving special certificates. The courses are available in three languages: Uzbek, Russian, and English.
The platform contains four modules, each consisting of lessons in text, image, and video formats. At the end of each module, users must complete a quiz of five questions, and those who score above 60% are allowed to proceed to the next module. To receive a final QR-coded certificate, the participant must pass a final test of 10 questions with a score of at least 60%. So far, the average passing score has been 72%, indicating a significant improvement in anti-doping knowledge among athletes. The average number of attempts to obtain a certificate is 2.5.
As of today, among 1,196 officially registered platforms in Uzbekistan, talim-uznada.uz has risen by 20 positions in daily usage rankings.
Visitors to the platform come from 28 countries across 4 continents. To compare, 5,850 users are from Uzbekistan, while the remaining 8,850 users access the platform from abroad. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this platform represents a unique system among the National Anti-Doping Organizations that are members of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The reason is that this platform covers the involvement of young athletes across the country through sports institutions. Additionally, once an athlete successfully completes the platform and obtains a certificate, they are allowed to participate in the Uzbekistan Championship and Cup competitions.
In conclusion, the talim-uznada.uz platform has gained a wide user base in a short period. This demonstrates the effectiveness of government policy aimed at transforming the country into a doping-free zone.
