The analysis of doping samples collected from athletes Ibragimov Komiljon and Tursunboyev Muslimbek during the Uzbekistan cup in weightlifting among adults and youth, held in september this year, revealed the presence of prohibited substances.

Specifically, furosemide was detected in K. Ibragimov’s doping sample, while metenolone — an anabolic-androgenic steroid — was detected in M. Tursunboyev’s sample.
For information, these substances are included in the 2026 Prohibited List of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and their use is prohibited both in-competition and out-of-competition.
At present, the relevant circumstances are being examined in accordance with the established procedure. Once the investigations have been completed and the relevant decision has been made, the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan will issue an official statement.
