A doping sample collected from Nodirek Shavkatov, an athlete representing the Mixed Martial Arts Association, during the out-of-competition period also revealed the presence of Meldonium, a substance prohibited in sport and classified under S4 — Hormone and Metabolic Modulators. The athlete has exercised his right to request the analysis of the B sample.
In addition, doping samples collected from Nafosat Koziyeva and Yanina Kuskova, athletes representing the Cycling Federation, during the out-of-competition period revealed the presence of Clenbuterol, a substance prohibited in sport and classified under S1.2 — Other Anabolic Agents.
These athletes participated in a training camp in Mexico as part of their preparations for the Asian Games. It is highly likely that they may have been exposed to Clenbuterol through the consumption of meat products in Mexico.
