The test materials for these examinations have been prepared using the current Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script.

Answers to open-ended test questions, as well as essays, must also be written using this alphabet.

Under the Law on the Introduction of the New Alphabet, the new alphabet is to come into force six months after its adoption. Accordingly, examinations conducted by the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Competencies will use the current alphabet, not the new one.
