As is known, in order to ensure high-quality and flawless organizational preparation and administration of certification examinations, uphold fairness and transparency, provide adequate conditions for examination candidates, and ensure that results are announced within the established timeframes, relevant amendments and additions were introduced to the Regulation “On the Procedure for Determining the Level of Knowledge in General Education Subjects and Issuing Certificates” by Resolution No. 411 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 29 July 2026.
In accordance with these amendments, examination venues, the number of available seats allocated to specific regions, and examination dates are determined accordingly.
Based on this, for the second half of 2026, a total of 496,303 seats have been allocated: 125,753 seats for September, 129,535 for October, 112,335 for November, and 128,680 for December.
At the same time, the frequency of national certificate examinations is also being increased. In particular, from September to December 2026, two examinations are planned to be held in each of the following subjects: mathematics, chemistry, geography, biology, physics, native language and literature, and history; one examination will be held in law, making a total of 15 examinations. In comparison, 11 examinations were held from September to December 2025, with 255,217 candidates participating.
The allocation of seats by region is not intended to restrict candidates’ participation in examinations, reduce the amount of examination fees collected, or artificially decrease the number of candidates who may achieve high results.
The purpose of this procedure is to ensure the stable and high-quality organization of examinations through the efficient use of available infrastructure, technical equipment, human resources, and monitoring resources, the optimal distribution of workload among regions, and the timely announcement of examination results.
