Interest in the Uzbek language continues to grow

In accordance with Resolution No. 31 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2026, the Scientific and Educational Practical Center under the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Competencies has introduced a system for assessing the level of Uzbek language proficiency for foreign citizens based on the international requirements of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), as well as issuing a qualification certificate.

On April 24 of this year, Li Huiting, a citizen of the People’s Republic of China who took part in the exam to determine the level of Uzbek language proficiency, was awarded a B1 level qualification certificate confirming her level of Uzbek language proficiency.
