In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 30, 2023 No. PP-104 “On measures to further reform the hydropower sector”, it is planned to implement the project for the construction of the Naryn HPP cascade with a total capacity of 228 MW on the Naryn River in Namangan region within the framework of investment projects aimed at increasing the level of utilization of existing hydropower potential in our country, creating new hydropower capacities and modernizing existing ones in 2024-2030. This project will be implemented by Uzbekhydroenergo JSC from the very beginning to the end, relying on its own resources, using the main technological devices (hydro units) manufactured within the framework of localization. It should be noted that this HPP cascade will become a “National HPP” for the first time in the republic. The project is fully financed by Uzbekhydroenergo JSC. On April 4, a working group led by the chairman of the board of directors Abdugani Sanginov visited the project site on the Naryn River. Currently, the construction of the cascade HPP-1 is underway. The main goal is to commission this HPP-1 in September of this year as a worthy gift for the Independence Day of our country. According to the project, the Naryn HPP cascade will consist of 6 HPPs, each with a capacity of 38 MW. As a result of the project's commissioning, an average of 1,025 million kWh of environmentally friendly electricity will be produced per year. An average of 430 thousand households will be provided with electricity per year, and an average of 277 million m3 of gas will be saved per year. At the same time, more than 130 permanent jobs will be created. During the visit to the construction site, the construction of HPP-2 within the project was launched with the participation of the chairman of the board, officials and public representatives. Now, in accordance with the plan approved by the builders, phased land preparation, construction and concreting, and construction and installation works will begin at the HPP-2 facility. At the same time, the chairman of the board held a meeting with the officials responsible for the project and gave the necessary instructions and instructions within the framework of construction and installation works.
