As is known, at the end of October this year, an international conference is planned in our country in honor of UNESCO’s 80th anniversary. These days, ahead of this prestigious international event, the "80th Anniversary Park of UNESCO" is being established in the Karasu district of Samarkand city.
This modern green community park is being created based on a project developed by the "Yashilloyiha" Design Institute under the Ministry of Ecology. On the site where more than 30 employees of the Samarkand State Forestry, under the Forest Agency, are working, land preparation works have been completed. Modern machinery has also been involved in the construction works.
According to experts, the new green community park, which will cover an area of 5 hectares, will include a modern drip irrigation system, shaded benches, walkways, and night lighting so that local residents and city guests can relax comfortably. It is planned to plant about 1,500 saplings of 26 types of ornamental trees and shrubs, such as chestnut, plane tree, oriental poplar, oak, magnolia, Crimean pine, tulip tree, Japanese quince, and others.
The main goal of the project is to ensure ecological sustainability and clean atmospheric air in the city, as well as to create sufficient conditions for recreation and leisure for residents and guests.
