A seminar dedicated to the formation of ecological culture was held at the "Youth Camp" in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region.
The seminar, held within the framework of "Eco-camp-2025," was attended by the Director of the Forestry Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, Erkin Mukhiddinov, the Head of the Department of the Ministry, Zarrina Abdullayeva, and young people.
Speaking at the seminar, Erkin Mukhiddinov noted that today environmental problems are becoming acute worldwide.
"Water shortages, desertification, environmental pollution, waste, transport emissions, and other natural and anthropogenic factors pose a serious threat to the environment. In finding a positive solution to these problems, of course, the initiatives and participation of young people are very important. Therefore, we thank all of you for not being indifferent to environmental protection and urge you to be even more active," he said.
During the event, young people expressed their opinions on finding solutions to environmental problems.
"Our territory is one of the regions with a high degree of desertification in the republic, - said Dilmehra Bozorova, a student at Navoi State University. - In addition, this problem is intensifying in such regions of our country as the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Bukhara region. To prevent desertification, first of all, it is necessary to increase the level of greenery and plant drought-resistant trees."
At the event, necessary recommendations were given to young people on how to treat the environment with care.
