In order to create a "green belt" around the Food City market in the Bektemir district of Tashkent, more than 700 large-scale jasmine and clone saplings were planted on an area of more than two hectares.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Forestry Agency, and the Bektemir District of Tashkent, was attended by the Director of the Forestry Agency, Erkin Mukhiddinov, the Hokim of the Bektemir District, Nurillo Abdurakhmanov, as well as representatives of a number of organizations and media workers.
It should be noted that planting trees in the spring season is one of the traditions of our people. Today, a number of projects are being implemented in the republic to increase the level of greenery. In particular, in recent years, "green belts" are being created along large cities, large industrial enterprises, and highways.
Planted tree seedlings will help preserve the ecological state of the region, mitigate the problems of climate change, and ensure the greenness of the environment.
