Agency for Increasing Forests and Green Areas and Combating Desertification

The event was attended by officials of the Agency and employees of its central office.

Opening the event with welcoming remarks, Golibjon Kurbonov, Deputy Director of the Forestry Agency, congratulated everyone on the 35th anniversary of the independence of our Motherland — the greatest and most cherished national holiday.

“— Independence is, in the truest sense of the word, the greatest value for all of us. At the heart of this great blessing are peace and tranquillity in our country and the prosperity of our people. All the achievements being made thanks to the wise policy and initiative of the Head of State contribute to strengthening our independence, — said G. Kurbonov. — At the same time, as in all other sectors, the forestry sector has achieved many successes and reached significant milestones during the years of independence. Taking this opportunity, on behalf of the leadership of the Committee for Ecology and the Forestry Agency, as well as on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate all representatives of the sector who have been making a meaningful contribution to its development through their dedicated work on the 35th anniversary of our Independence.”

Following the remarks, a group of forestry professionals were ceremonially presented with commemorative badges titled “35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” in recognition of their worthy contribution to increasing the country’s level of greenery, establishing new forests, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
