During the meeting, members also considered a draft law aimed at strengthening the protection of forest fund lands.

It was emphasized that the draft law is intended to improve the legal framework supporting the comprehensive reforms being implemented in the forestry sector. Specifically, amendments to the Land Code are proposed to stipulate that the transfer of forest fund lands to another category of the land fund may only be carried out on the basis of a document adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The draft law also introduces additional amendments and provisions designed to reinforce the legal protection of forest fund lands.

Members of the faction noted that the proposed amendments will play an important role in strengthening the protection of forest fund lands, preserving biodiversity, ensuring the rational use of natural resources, and promoting environmental sustainability in the country.

Following a question-and-answer session, the draft law was approved by the members of the faction.

The meeting also comprehensively reviewed the issues on the agenda, and the relevant decisions were adopted.
