On May 2 of this year, inspectors of the regional Department of Ecology and Climate Change, officers of the regional Internal Affairs Department, and forestry personnel jointly conducted рейд activities in the forestry areas of Romitan, Jondor, and Peshku districts to prevent violations of environmental and forestry legislation.

During the operation, a GAZ-53 truck without state registration plates, driven by an unidentified individual, was observed illegally transporting saxaul wood from the Uchqur desert area.

Despite receiving a signal to stop, the offender attempted to flee and, while escaping, began unloading the saxaul wood from the truck.

During the pursuit, the offender deliberately rammed a Niva vehicle belonging to the Bukhara State Forestry Enterprise that was following the truck, causing damage to the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

As a result of the incident, forest ranger O. Aminov, who was driving the vehicle, and forester A. Quvvatov sustained serious injuries.

The relevant documents concerning the incident have been duly prepared and submitted to the law enforcement authorities for further legal action.
