The Forestry Agency under the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, together with Green University and in cooperation with the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, organized a seminar entitled “Technologies for Combating Desertification in Central Asia” at the Central Asian Center for Ecology and Environmental Research.

Speaking at the seminar, Erkin Muhiddinov emphasized that cooperation with China in combating desertification, restoring degraded lands, preventing soil erosion, and planting halophyte species resistant to drought and salinity is steadily strengthening.
“In turn, today’s event serves to reinforce long-term cooperation between the two countries in important areas such as environmental protection, ensuring climate resilience, introducing green technologies, combating desertification, and promoting sustainable development in the forestry sector. Our joint efforts with our Chinese partners in these areas will continue consistently in the future,” said Mr. Muhiddinov.
