Issues of Transboundary Landscape Restoration in Central Asia Discussed

A meeting on the topic of “Transboundary Landscape Restoration in Central Asia and Sustainable Development through Regional Cooperation” was held as part of an international summit in Astana.
During the event, Erkin Muhiddinov provided information about the systematic efforts being implemented in Uzbekistan to expand green areas, prevent desertification, and establish new forests.
“It should be noted that issues such as preventing desertification and land degradation are global challenges today. The countries of the region should work together in creating ‘green belts’ and expanding green cover. It is no secret that the consequences of climate change do not recognize national borders,” said Mr. Muhiddinov.
