New projects to combat desertification will be implemented

A meeting was held between Erkin Mukhiddinov, Director of the Forestry Agency under the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, and Wang Ying, Director of the International Friendship Association of Yulin City of the People's Republic of China.
At the beginning of the meeting, E. Mukhiddinov informed the guests about the ongoing efforts in our country to ensure environmental sustainability, establish and restore forests, as well as the activities being carried out within the framework of the nationwide “Green Space” initiative.
During the event, the parties discussed issues of improving the effectiveness of combating desertification based on Chinese experience, conducting scientific research in the Aral Sea region and other desert areas, and establishing a joint laboratory.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the goals and objectives for future cooperation were defined.
