Agency for Increasing Forests and Green Areas and Combating Desertification

The meeting was attended by heads of departments and divisions of the Agency, representatives of system organizations, responsible officials of regional state forestry enterprises, and representatives of the mass media.

The event was opened by the Director of the Agency, Erkin Mukhiddinov, with an introductory speech, during which he presented a report on the work carried out within the system.

“I am pleased to see all of you at today’s reporting meeting. A number of important activities were implemented in the sector during the first half of the year. Today, we will analytically review the work carried out in state forestry enterprises in each area,” said E. Mukhiddinov.

During the meeting, Deputy Directors of the Agency — G. Karshiboyev and G. Qurbonov — expressed their views on shortcomings identified during targeted studies and measures to eliminate them, issues related to expanding forest areas, and the proper organization of lease relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a group of employees who have been working in the sector for many years were awarded the “Protector of Nature” badge.
