The meeting was attended by Bobur Makhmatmurodov, a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, officials of the Forestry Agency, system organizations, as well as heads and employees of regional state forestry enterprises.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the implementation of tasks set forth in Presidential Decree No. 270 dated December 30, 2025, titled “On further improving the system of preventing and combating corruption in the Republic of Uzbekistan,” as well as ongoing anti-corruption measures being carried out within the Agency.
Erkin Mukhiddinov highlighted the reforms implemented in recent years in the forestry sector at the direct initiative and attention of the Head of State, including efforts to establish new forests and increase green coverage.
It was noted that despite the awareness-raising and advocacy efforts undertaken, cases of legal violations are still observed at lower levels of the system, indicating that significant work remains to be done in this area.
At the conclusion of the meeting, responsible officials were given instructions and directives to prevent corruption within the system in 2026, to widely introduce digitalization in order to reduce the impact of the human factor in work processes, and to support poverty reduction initiatives, including assistance to needy families and families who have lost their breadwinners in the regions through forestry enterprises.
