Agency for Increasing Forests and Green Areas and Combating Desertification

The event was attended by the Rector of the University, Narzullo Oblamurodov, responsible officials of the Agency, heads of regional base forestry enterprises, university professors and lecturers, and students.

At the beginning of the event, Erkin Muhiddinov and other participants became acquainted with the activities of laboratories established at the university for the development of seed production and the scientific cultivation of seedlings and cuttings, as well as laboratories for efficient storage, processing, and packaging of agricultural products. They also reviewed the training and practical classrooms for forestry and landscape design.

As part of the event, a roundtable discussion was organized with the participation of the Agency Director, heads of territorial state forestry enterprises, and students. During the open and sincere dialogue, current pressing issues of the forestry sector, promising areas of development, and matters related to enhancing human resource capacity were discussed.

In addition, special attention was paid at the seminar to the issues of recruiting talented students with relevant knowledge and skills, as well as strong foreign language proficiency, to the Forestry Agency and its affiliated enterprises, and to creating broad opportunities for their professional development.
