Over the past year, a total of 266 million tree and shrub saplings were planted across the country as part of the “Yashil Makon” project. Specifically, 137 million saplings were planted during the spring season and 129 million during the autumn season, bringing the national greening level to 14.3 percent.

Around 48 million saplings were planted in nearly 10,000 mahalla areas and residential household surroundings. In addition, 11 million tree and shrub saplings were planted on 3,894 hectares of land surrounding 1,541 industrial enterprises with a high risk of environmental impact.

Behind these figures lies the creation of thousands of hectares of green areas, the preservation of clean air, the mitigation of the negative effects of climate change, and the обеспечение of ecological sustainability.

To create favorable conditions for public recreation and walking, “green areas” were expanded. Within the framework of the “My Garden” project, open voting processes were conducted to establish “green gardens” and “green public parks.” As a result, final work on the construction of parks and gardens was completed in 155 districts and cities.

Across the districts and cities of the republic, a total of 475 km of “Shaded Walking Streets” and 378 km of “Health Improvement Paths” were established.
