The event was attended by representatives of the Ecology Committee, the Forestry Agency, and system organizations, while employees of regional branches participated online via the Zoom platform.
At the roundtable, Navruzbek Yusupov, a Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a lecture on “The Constitutional Foundations of Environmental Protection and Their Implementation.”
Speakers expressed their views on the ongoing constitutional reforms, the strengthening of human rights and freedoms, new legal mechanisms in the field of environmental protection, and their practical implementation.
During the event, discussions focused on the importance of the environmental norms defined in the Constitution, priority directions of state policy aimed at ensuring environmental safety, and pressing issues related to enhancing the ecological awareness of the population.
During the meeting, Yulduz Oripova, Adviser to the Director of the Forestry Agency, congratulated everyone on December 10 — the day the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted. She highlighted the history of the anthem’s creation and recognized the contributions of Uzbekistan’s national poet Abdulla Oripov and composer Mutal Burkhanov, calling on the youth to love and cherish their homeland.
Participants of the roundtable emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in protecting the environment, adapting to climate change, and ensuring sustainable development based on constitutional principles.
