Entrepreneurs from Tashkent Region, led by Dilshod Rasulov, Head of the Tashkent Region Project Office of the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement, are currently visiting the Republic of Poland.
The visit aims to expand trade and economic ties between Tashkent Region and Poland, develop industrial cooperation, increase export potential, and launch new joint projects. As part of the visit, meetings are being held with representatives of various government agencies, sectoral organizations, and major manufacturing enterprises.
The first round of negotiations was held with Jacek Czerniak, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Poland, and Piotr Kolada, Head of the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR). The discussions focused on prospects for increasing bilateral trade, expanding and diversifying the range of exported products, and addressing transport and logistics issues.
The discussions also highlighted the “Polish-Uzbek Trade House,” established in Ohangaron District, and its potential to promote trade relations between entrepreneurs from the two countries.
A meeting was also held with Jacek Jarząbek, Vice President of “Wody Polskie,” and representatives of Poland’s Ministry of Infrastructure.
The discussions covered ways to improve water management and transport and logistics infrastructure. In particular, the participants explored reservoir management, the development of water storage systems, improving the efficiency of canals and pumping stations, and exchanging expertise on the use of drones and artificial intelligence to digitalize water management.
Plans were also outlined to organize an online dialogue between representatives of “O‘zsuvta’minot” JSC and Polish specialists, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the relevant ministries and government agencies.
As part of the visit, the delegation also familiarized itself with the operations of several Polish manufacturing companies. At “Pronar,” a company specializing in the production of modern agricultural and municipal machinery, the delegation explored opportunities for equipment supplies, cooperation in manufacturing, and the implementation of joint projects.
At “Dary Natury,” a company specializing in the processing of organic food products and medicinal plants, the delegation examined production processes and methods of product processing and packaging.
The parties also discussed opportunities to export medicinal plants grown in Uzbekistan to the Polish market, process them, and supply them as finished products. The exchange of expertise in this area is important for increasing the added value of locally produced goods and accessing new export markets.
The ongoing meetings and negotiations are aimed at expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs from Tashkent Region to enter international markets, adopt advanced technologies, and implement mutually beneficial economic projects. The planned business forum and B2B meetings are expected to help strengthen direct business-to-business ties between the two countries.
