The relationship of mutual trust and friendship between the Tashkent Region and the Minsk Region continues to develop steadily.
As is well known, on September 12, 2018, the two regions signed an agreement on cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, science and technology, as well as culture and humanitarian affairs.
During the official visit of Tashkent Region Governor Zoir Mirzaev to the Republic of Belarus, this partnership reached another significant milestone.
In particular, together with Vasily Sysoyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the parties signed a Roadmap for 2026–2028 aimed at further expanding the implementation of the bilateral cooperation agreement.
The document will serve as a practical framework for strengthening cooperation between the two regions over the next three years.
Priority areas include enhancing trade and economic relations, promoting direct cooperation between business communities, supplying Belarusian industrial and agricultural products to the Tashkent Region market, developing industrial cooperation in the deep processing of Uzbek cotton yarn, and expanding the exchange of modern technologies and best practices in the agro-industrial sector.
At the same time, the Roadmap places special emphasis on further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two regions.
The signed Roadmap is expected to elevate the multifaceted partnership between the Tashkent and Minsk regions to a new level, facilitate the implementation of mutually beneficial projects, and further reinforce the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
