Ensuring a safe environment in mahallas, preventing offenses, and strengthening public peace and security are among the key priorities of state policy.
In this regard, special attention is being paid to establishing a targeted local work system, identifying existing problems at the mahalla level, and addressing them based on presidential decisions. An important guiding document in this area is the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 5, 2026, “On Additional Measures to Introduce an Integrated Targeted Work System Aimed at Creating a Safe Environment in the Mahallas of the Republic.”
A working group led by F. Mirzayev, Head of the Tashkent Regional Hokimiyat Group, and E. Inamjanov, First Deputy Prosecutor of the Region, reviewed the effectiveness of ongoing activities in several mahallas of Piskent District.
The review was conducted in the citizens’ assemblies of the “Lolaariq,” “Fayzobod,” and “Taraqqiyot” mahallas, which had been assigned to district officials.
During the process, the working group analyzed efforts to ensure a safe environment in the mahallas, prevent offenses, address citizens’ appeals, and assess the effectiveness of the mahalla “seven-member team” (“Yettilik”).
Based on the findings, a critical discussion was held with the participation of district officials and members of the mahalla “Yettilik.” Specific tasks and instructions were outlined to eliminate identified shortcomings and ensure the high-quality implementation of decisions.
The working group also visited the “Safe Street” project being implemented within a recreational park under construction in the “Lolaariq” mahalla. They inspected the installation of emergency call buttons, modern surveillance cameras, Wi-Fi zones, and other infrastructure facilities designed to enhance public safety.
Officials provided recommendations and proposals for further improving the project and expanding convenient and safe conditions for local residents.
