Within the framework of the Third Uzbekistan–China Interregional Forum held in Shaanxi Province of the People’s Republic of China, a number of important events aimed at developing women’s entrepreneurship are taking place.
The delegation of our country is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairperson of the Family and Women’s Committee, Zulaykho Makhkamova.
Notably, a group of businesswomen led by Nilufar Normirzayeva, Deputy Governor of Tashkent Region and Head of the Regional Department for Family and Women, is also participating in these prestigious international events.
Yesterday, as part of the forum program organized in the city of Xi’an, the delegation took part in a series of meetings and practical discussions.
The main purpose of the forum is to further expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, strengthen interregional ties, and bring women’s entrepreneurship to the international level.
Overall, the delegation includes heads of family and women’s departments from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, various regions, and the city of Tashkent, as well as 58 women entrepreneurs working in different sectors. The participation of representatives from Tashkent Region is of particular importance.
During the visit, the delegation became acquainted with the activities of the model village project “One Thousand Villages — Ten Thousand Projects” in Shaanxi Province. This project embodies advanced practices in rural development, collective entrepreneurship, and employment generation.
The delegation also visited a modern digital agriculture park, where they closely examined “smart” agricultural technologies, drone-assisted management systems, automated irrigation systems, and other innovative solutions.
The possibilities of implementing such experiences in Tashkent Region were also discussed.
As part of the visit, the delegation studied the activities of the Shaanxi Women and Children Center as well as several major enterprises. Participants showed great interest in the systematic mechanisms established in China to support women, increase their economic activity, and encourage entrepreneurship.
In addition, cooperation memorandums are planned to be signed with the Shaanxi Provincial Committee for the Promotion of International Trade, the Halal Food Products Association, and the Women Lawyers Association.
Events within the framework of the Third Uzbekistan–China Interregional Forum are continuing. These dialogues and practical collaborations are of great importance in developing women’s entrepreneurship in Tashkent Region and expanding women’s access to international markets.
