Prospects for Joint Projects Discussed with the Italian Livestock Breeders Association

The delegation of Tashkent Region led by regional governor Zoir Mirzayev, currently on an official visit to the Italian Republic, today held an important meeting with the leadership of the Italian Livestock Breeders Association — Associazione Italiana Allevatori (AIA), as well as representatives of major companies operating in the livestock sector.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of the livestock industry based on modern approaches, the establishment of high-productivity breeding systems, genetic selection, veterinary services, and technological support for farming enterprises.
The Italian Livestock Breeders Association (AIA), founded in 1944, is today considered one of the leading sectoral organizations in Italy’s livestock industry. The association is engaged in improving breeding practices in cattle, sheep, goat farming, and other areas, increasing productivity, conducting genetic research, and providing consulting support to farmers.
The negotiations also focused on opportunities to establish modern dairy and meat production clusters in Tashkent Region, increase the number of highly productive pedigree livestock, introduce artificial insemination and genetic technologies, process livestock products, and produce export-oriented goods.
Special attention was also given to organizing training and professional development programs for farmers and specialists, improving the feed supply base, strengthening veterinary management, and introducing international standards in the sector.
It was emphasized that the main purpose of the meeting is to develop the livestock sector of Tashkent Region on the basis of innovative and scientific approaches, as well as to expand investment cooperation.
The parties expressed their readiness to implement joint investment projects in the future.
