Rome Negotiations: From Waste Recycling to Modern Agricultural Technologies at the Center of Discussions

The visit of the Tashkent Region delegation led by regional governor Zoir Mirzayev to the Italian Republic is continuing.
Yesterday and today, the delegation held negotiations with nearly 10 companies and organizations, as well as representatives of major investors.
In particular, in Rome, opportunities for cooperation in the field of waste recycling were discussed with Henry Hafner, founder and president of the company “Hafner”.
Negotiations were also held with representatives of “Gamma Meccanica” regarding mineral processing, while Marco Mayraga, Strategic Development Director and shareholder of the renowned company “Nord Engineering”, exchanged views on promising projects in the field of waste collection and recycling.
During the meeting with Gilles Livens, Business Development Director of “AGCO ITALIA SPA”, discussions focused on agricultural machinery, the introduction of modern agricultural technologies, and expanding cooperation in the sector.
Another important meeting took place at the headquarters of the Italian General Confederation of Agriculture — “Confagricoltura”.
The expanded roundtable discussion was attended by the Confederation’s Vice President L. Brondello, Director of the “CIVI-Italia” Association L. Catalano, as well as representatives of the greenhouse-sector companies “Europrogress” and “Idromeccanica”.
The dialogue focused on cooperation in agro-industry, intensive horticulture, greenhouse farming, and modern agricultural technologies.
Overall, during the meetings with Italian partners and business representatives organized under a busy schedule, important proposals were put forward to strengthen investment cooperation, attract innovative technologies, and implement projects aimed at developing industrial and agro-industrial sectors in the Tashkent Region. The possibilities for implementing these initiatives were also reviewed.
