Every holiday and memorable date in our country has its own significance and value. However, among them, the Day of Memory and Honor stands out with its profound meaning and essence.
This holiday calls on all of us to appreciate today’s peaceful and tranquil life, to work with even greater dedication for the prosperity of our Motherland, and to draw strength and inspiration from the courage of noble people who were ready to sacrifice their lives for their nation and people.
This year as well, in accordance with the decisions of our President to widely celebrate this occasion, large-scale spiritual and educational events and ceremonies embodying the noble ideas of humanity are being held across our region under the slogan “Duty, Courage, Fortitude!”
On the occasion of the Day of Memory and Honor, members of the regional public led by Zoyir Mirzayev, representatives of law enforcement agencies, state and public organizations, higher educational institutions, veterans, and youth laid wreaths at the “Anthem of Courage” memorial complex in the city of Nurafshon, expressing the respect of generations for the memory of the fallen heroes.
Indeed, honoring the memory of our ancestors who perished in the fight against fascism during World War II, as well as the brave sons who sacrificed their lives defending the independence of our country, and showing respect to today’s war and labor veterans, are among the highest human values.
