Rails of Progress: Construction has begun on a new electrified railway line along the “Nurafshon – Piskent – Bo‘ka – Bekobod – Boyovut – Yangiyer” route.

In Tashkent region, another major strategic project has started, aimed at fundamentally improving transport infrastructure and strengthening economic and social connections between regions.
This railway network will cover the areas of Nurafshon, Piskent, Bo‘ka, Bekobod, Boyovut, and Yangiyer. It is expected to take transport links between Tashkent and Sirdaryo regions to a new level.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Governor of Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzayev, Chairman of the Board of “Uzbek Railways” JSC Zufar Narzullayev, heads of relevant departments and organizations, industry representatives, elderly citizens, engineers, and workers.
During the event, the regional leader familiarized himself with the technical and economic indicators of the project.
It was emphasized that this railway network is important for strengthening transport connectivity between Tashkent and Sirdaryo regions, and for providing convenient and modern transport services to the population.
As part of the project, a new electrified railway line with a total length of 111 kilometers will be constructed.
High-speed electric trains will operate along this route, passenger and freight services will be efficiently organized, and a modern engineering and communication infrastructure will be established.
The scale of construction is significant. Specifically, 7.8 million cubic meters of earthworks will be carried out. In addition, the project includes the construction of 1 traction substation, 3 railway stations, 1 stopping point, 15 bridges, 14 overpasses, and several artificial structures.
The project will create hundreds of new jobs, promote entrepreneurship and service sectors, and open new opportunities for the tourist appeal and internal economic integration of the regions.
In accordance with national values and noble traditions, sacrificial rites were performed and the Quran was recited.
Elderly citizens prayed for the peace of the country, the well-being of the people, and the success of the good initiatives that have begun.
