Entrepreneurs of Tashkent Region to Cooperate with a Leading U.S. Trade Corporation

Productive meetings and dialogues between the delegation headed by the regional governor, Zoyir Mirzaev, who is currently on an official visit to the United States, and representatives of the American business community are ongoing.
In particular, Zoyir Mirzaev held negotiations with prominent American entrepreneur and founder of Grand Market International Corporation, Edward Schneider, as well as representatives of the corporation he leads.
During the friendly and constructive discussions, the parties addressed the establishment of mutual trade and economic cooperation; the introduction of ready-made food and agricultural products produced in Tashkent Region to the U.S. market through the corporation’s networks; certification in accordance with international standards; and the development of logistics and export capabilities.
The American business magnate provided detailed information to our regional delegation about the corporation’s operations, its supply chain system, international trade experience, and the demand dynamics for ethnic food products in the U.S. market.
For reference: GMI (Grand Market International) is one of the major corporations across the ocean and is engaged in supplying various food and agricultural products to the United States from nearly 20 countries around the world. The corporation has established a fully integrated food ecosystem through its logistics network, production facilities, and distribution centers. Its structure includes the NetCost chain of 13 large supermarkets across the United States, as well as major diversified entities such as GMI, Garden Fresh Produce, Manufacturing, and Global Food Alliance.
During the meeting, the hosts were briefed on the reforms being implemented in our region in agriculture, the food industry, and processing; the assortment, volume, and quality of export-oriented organic products; and the position of our fresh and dried fruits in the global market.
After reviewing the available opportunities, the parties agreed to launch practical joint projects in the near future.
