In Surkhandarya Region, consistent efforts are underway to improve the infrastructure of mahallas classified as being in need of additional support and create decent living conditions for residents.
In particular, large-scale construction and improvement works are being carried out in 11 mahallas of Sherabad District. Special attention is being paid to road repairs, the modernization of drinking water networks, street lighting, and landscaping.
In Taroqli Mahalla, which previously lacked adequate infrastructure, streets have been asphalted, modern lighting has been installed, pedestrian walkways have been constructed, and drinking water networks have been laid. As a result, the appearance of the mahalla has been transformed and more comfortable conditions have been created for residents.
Deputy Governor of Surkhandarya Region Alisher Amirov and Sherabad District Governor Usmon Alimov visited the mahalla to review the ongoing improvements and met with local residents. During the meeting, residents expressed their gratitude to the President for the conditions being created.
Measures aimed at increasing household incomes and reducing poverty are also being implemented in the mahalla. In particular, sewing machines were provided to women in need, enabling them to work from home and earn an income.
The main goal is to ensure the quality implementation of every project and make sure that the conditions being created directly contribute to the well-being of the population.
