A Worthy Gift for the 35th Anniversary of Independence: New Substation Commissioned in Sariosiyo

Ahead of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, major infrastructure projects of vital importance to the population are being implemented and commissioned across Surkhandarya Region.
One of the latest projects is the commissioning of a new large-scale substation in Sariosiyo District.
With a total capacity of 50 MVA, the substation consists of two transformers, each with a capacity of 25 MVA, and 6.2 kilometers of power transmission lines.
The total cost of the project amounts to 48.2 billion soums. The new substation will improve electricity supply to the “Yangi Uzbekistan” residential area and neighboring mahallas.
Following the commissioning of the facility, the capacity has been created to provide stable electricity to 3,746 households in the residential area, as well as a total of 10,000 households residing in 8 mahallas in the district center.
The commissioning of the new energy facility marks an important step toward improving the stability of electricity supply in the area, developing the infrastructure of the new residential district, and creating better living conditions for the population.
