A Gift for the 35th Anniversary of Independence: Pumping Station Launched in Bandikhan to Bring 3,000 Hectares into Agricultural Use

On the eve of the 35th anniversary of our country’s independence, a major project has been launched in Bandikhan District aimed at increasing agricultural potential, making efficient use of land and water resources, and creating employment opportunities for local residents.
As part of the 29.5 billion soum project in Limonzor mahalla, water is being supplied from the Sherabad Main Canal, creating the opportunity to bring more than 3,000 hectares of pastureland into agricultural use.
For this purpose, two modern pumping units were installed, along with a 2.3-kilometer pressure pipeline with a diameter of 1,200 millimeters. In addition, 6.8 kilometers of new canals and 5 kilometers of internal irrigation networks were constructed. An irrigation system with a capacity of 1.5 cubic meters of water per second has also been commissioned.
As a result of the project, it is planned to create more than 1,500 new jobs, increase agricultural production, and establish annual exports worth 3 million US dollars.
The project is of significant importance for expanding Bandikhan District’s agricultural potential, bringing unused land into economic circulation, and creating new sources of income for the local population.
