Today, Ulugbek Kosimov, Governor of Surkhandarya Region, received a delegation from the Chinese company United Energy Group.

The meeting focused on liquefied gas production in Surkhandarya Region, the efficient use of existing hydrocarbon resources, the introduction of modern technologies, as well as the implementation of investment projects in this field.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation based on the region’s oil and gas potential, including the establishment of production of high-value-added products, modernization of production capacities, and efficient use of energy resources.

They also exchanged views on the development of the infrastructure required for the project, determining the investment volume and technological solutions, ensuring the supply of raw materials, and exploring opportunities to bring the products to domestic and international markets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on conducting an in-depth study of the project’s technical and economic parameters, assessing available opportunities, and determining the next stages of cooperation.

The implementation of this initiative will contribute to the creation of new production capacities in Surkhandarya’s oil and gas sector, attracting investment, creating new jobs, and increasing the region’s industrial potential.
