Within the framework of the “Every Family is an Entrepreneur” state program, Shohista received a preferential loan of 7.5 million soums to build a modern greenhouse. At the beginning of the year, she planted tomato seedlings and harvested about 10 million soums worth of produce. In March, she planted 10 banana and 12 papaya saplings inside the greenhouse. Bananas will bear fruit in 14 months, and papayas in 8 months — promising an abundant tropical harvest soon.
In addition, Shohista has built another 2-sotix underground greenhouse, for which she received another 10 million soums in concessional credit. Lemon trees grow there, yielding 8 million soums in profit this year alone, and harvesting is still ongoing.
The family also grows 40 pomegranate trees in their yard, earning about 15 million soums in net income annually. By making efficient use of their land, the family has achieved prosperity and become a shining example for others in their community.
Beyond agriculture, the family is also engaged in traditional handicrafts. Together with her daughter-in-law, Khudoyberdiyeva Saodat Nosirovna, Shohista has established a small business producing handmade Uzbek skullcaps (telpaks). Each telpak is sold for 300,000 to 1.5 million soums, bringing in around 7–8 million soums in yearly income.
Today, the Khudoyberdiyeva family not only improves their own standard of living but also serves as a vivid example of the success of the “Every Family is an Entrepreneur” program.
The people of Juyrabod mahalla proudly recognize this family for their industriousness, craftsmanship, and dedication. Khudoyberdiyeva Shohista Majidovna and her family are the true pride of our community!
