The seminar was attended by officials of the agricultural sector, sector leaders, representatives of cotton-textile and grain clusters, relevant organizations, farmers, and mahalla activists.

The event took place at the cotton receiving point of "Kosto Line Holding". During the seminar, the district governor Bahodir Kholiqov emphasized the importance of carrying out defoliation of cotton fields before the harvest, creating proper conditions for pickers and volunteer workers, providing them with hot daily meals, distributing wages every five days (or daily if possible), and introducing additional incentives for active pickers by the clusters.

Before the start of the harvesting season, a sacrificial animal was slaughtered, verses from the Holy Qur’an were recited, and a charity meal was served. Prayers were said for peace in the country and for a blessed harvest.

It was noted that this year, cotton was grown on 5,350 hectares across 230 farms in Rishton district. During the season, farmers are expected to harvest 23,450 tons of “white gold.”
