The official visit of a delegation led by Bahodirjon Kholiqov, Governor of Rishton District, to the People's Republic of China was marked by productive meetings and meaningful discussions. During the trip, the district leadership and local entrepreneurs closely studied the activities of major industrial, trade, and handicraft enterprises in several Chinese cities.
— The main purpose of our visit was to elevate interregional cooperation, learn from advanced practices in industry and craftsmanship, and implement those in Rishton. The meetings and experience exchange during the trip left a strong impression on us, — said the governor.
The delegation visited the “PITO” porcelain manufacturing company in Chaozhou, as well as industrial clusters in Guangzhou and Foshan that specialize in cosmetics, eco-friendly products, and construction materials.
— We were especially impressed by the high-level technology and the culture of labor organization in the porcelain industry. Rishton ceramics have their unique value, but we need to modernize them to meet current demands. We reached an agreement with “PITO” to launch new production lines and improve the composition of clay and glaze. Their specialists will visit Rishton soon to begin practical work, — said Mr. Kholiqov.
During the visit, direct ties were established between entrepreneurs, and discussions were held on export opportunities to the Chinese market and directions for investment cooperation.
— Our Chinese partners show great interest in Uzbekistan, especially in the Fergana region and Rishton. This encourages us. I believe the outcomes of this visit will certainly yield tangible results, — emphasized the governor.
The visit became a significant step in enhancing Rishton's production, export, and craftsmanship potential, as well as in attracting modern technologies and innovations. Agreements worth a total of 12 million USD were reached.
