A delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Aleksandr Ogorodnikov, paid a visit to Rishton.
























As part of the visit, the delegation visited the museum dedicated to the World War II Hero Mamadali Topivoldiev, where they met with his family members and representatives of the local community. The visit began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the hero’s bust located in Zohidon mahalla.
The guests then toured the memorial museum and learned about the hero’s life and remarkable achievements. It was noted that the Rishton-born partisan, known by the nickname “Kazbek,” demonstrated great courage during World War II, led partisan movements in the forests of Belarus, carried out sabotage and intelligence missions, and later contributed to the development of the national economy.
The delegation also visited the graves of the hero and his two Belarusian partisan comrades, paying tribute to their bravery and sacrifice.
In addition, the delegation visited Secondary School No. 27 named after the hero. The event featured performances by students, including songs and dances, as well as a concert by the Belarusian Cultural Center’s artistic ensemble in Tashkent.
In his speech, the ambassador emphasized that the current generation will never forget the heroism and dedication of their ancestors. He highlighted the importance of preserving historical memory and fostering patriotism among the youth.
At the end of the visit, commemorative gifts were presented to the museum. The delegation was accompanied by the district governor.
