July 2 - the day the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted
On July 2, 1992, the Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted. According to it, the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a symbol of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Today, this sacred symbol is revered by both adults and children. In it, the soul sees the true image of our Uzbekistan in its truest sense. It has become a noble value in our country that each of our compatriots treats our emblem with special respect.
The State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The sun shines golden rays over the majestic mountains, rivers and a flowering valley, surrounded by a ring of wheat ears on the left and cotton stalks with open bolls on the right. This is a unique hint at the charm of our incomparable land. The upper part of the coat of arms depicts an octagon as a symbol of republican freedom, with a crescent moon and a star inside. In the center of the symbol is a Humo bird with wings spread out, a symbol of happiness and freedom. At the bottom of the coat of arms, the inscription "Uzbekistan" is written on the ribbon of the circular ribbon representing the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In the color version of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Humo bird and rivers are depicted in silver, the sun, ears of corn, cotton bolls and the inscription "Uzbekistan" are depicted in gold, cotton branches and leaves, mountains and valleys are depicted in green, cotton in bolls is depicted in white, the ribbon is depicted in three different colors reflecting the colors of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the octagon is depicted in sky color with a gold gilding border, the crescent moon and stars are depicted in white.
In accordance with Article 4 of the Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan is permanently displayed on the facades of the residences of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Cabinet of Ministers, the republican state administration bodies, the State Security Service, the National Guard, the Central Bank, the Accounts Chamber, the Central Election Commission, the Jokargi Kenes and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, local government bodies, courts, prosecutor's offices, diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, consular institutions, as well as representative offices under international organizations.
The image of the emblem is reflected on seals and letterheads of state agencies, official publications, paper and coinage, securities and civil passports, and other documents established by law.
The legislation stipulates that every citizen residing in our country must treat state symbols, including the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with respect. Respect for state symbols in our country is instilled in the minds of the younger generation from preschool educational institutions and schools. This serves as an important factor in strengthening the feelings of involvement, patriotism, dedication, boundless pride and honor for the Motherland in growing boys and girls.
July 2 - the day of the adoption of the Law on the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is planned to hold events in the localities on a large scale, in a high spirit, at a high level. In cooperation with organizations such as the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Ministries of Culture, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Public Education, the Writers' Union, and the Agency for Youth Affairs, it is planned to hold educational events under the slogan "The State Emblem is a symbol of independence!" Famous scientists, writers, poets, cultural and artistic figures, pop singers, the National Guard, and the military orchestras of the Ministry of Defense are expected to participate in them. Also, cultural and educational events will be held in all regions of our country within the framework of the "Festival of Spirituality" held by the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment under the slogan "Let's live freely and prosperously in New Uzbekistan!" on the occasion of the adoption of the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Telethons, interactive cultural and educational events aimed at the importance of the State Emblem and its glorification, flash mobs, and conferences will be held on this date. All of this is significant in that it is aimed at further instilling the importance of the State Emblem in the minds of the younger generation and raising them to be patriotic people worthy of our great ancestors.
