USE THE OPPORTUNITIES AND PRIVILEGES
APPLAUSE OF THE SAMARKAND REGIONAL FARMER COUNCIL TO FARMER
Dear farmers!
Today, global climate change, water shortages, rising energy prices, and a sharp increase in demand for food products pose enormous challenges to the agricultural sector of our country, along with all countries. In particular, providing the population with high-quality and affordable food products, maintaining the stability of the domestic market, increasing export potential, and most importantly, rational use of land and water resources are more important today than ever.
In the era of complex changes taking place in the world, it is observed that prices for fertilizers and fuels and lubricants are increasing.
In our country, systematic work is being carried out to ensure price stability and prevent unreasonable growth based on the decisions of the Head of State and relevant measures of our Government.
According to preliminary analyses by industry experts, it is no coincidence that the prices of basic mineral fertilizers and fuel are almost twice as cheap as in a number of other countries.
Dear farmers!
Numerous decrees and resolutions adopted by the head of our state are creating a solid foundation for the success of our farmers in the cultivation of agricultural products.
On May 8 of this year, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-82 “On Additional Measures for Financial Support for Cotton and Wheat Growers” established the allocation of subsidies through the Agency from the republican budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the part of the cost of each ton of diesel fuel purchased by agricultural enterprises through stock exchanges from April 1, 2026 to July 1, 2026, exceeding 13 million soums, but not exceeding 2 million soums, in order to partially cover the costs associated with the purchase of diesel fuel, providing you with significant benefits.
Also, farmers who repay loans within the period specified in the contract will be reimbursed 2.5 percent of the interest paid on loans, farmers who repay them by the end of the harvest year (December 31 of the corresponding year) will be reimbursed 5 percent of the interest paid on loans, and farms that fully repay preferential loans allocated for wheat cultivation costs by August 1 of the harvest year will be reimbursed 4 percentage points of the interest paid on these loans.
We must not forget that all this is the result of large-scale reforms implemented by the Head of our State to support agriculture, ensure the economic interests of farmers, introduce market mechanisms in the sector, and widely apply modern technologies.
Timely implementation of agrotechnical measures is a guarantee of high yields.
We must not forget that each kilogram of fertilizer is the result of a large amount of money and labor.
We must understand that the efficient use of every liter of fuel serves the economic interests of the farmer.
Dear farmers!
At a time when, due to global climate change and other reasons, the prices of mineral fertilizers and fuel have increased in other countries, in our country these products are provided at low prices and are reimbursed up to 2 million soums per ton by the Decree of the Head of our State, we call on the heads of each farm to strictly adhere to the following measures and organize their work.
First, apply mineral fertilizers based on soil analysis and correctly determine the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers;
Second, widely use local organic fertilizers;
Third, conduct regular technical inspections of equipment and prevent excessive processing;
Fourth, organize the movement of machinery in a planned manner and do not forget that the use of modern, fuel-efficient units is important;
Fifth, do not forget that the waste of mineral fertilizers and fuel is a decrease in farmer income;
Sixth, use energy-saving pumps and introduce solar panels and renewable energy sources;
Seventh, make effective use of the edges of the fields and establish cattle, poultry and beekeeping on the edges of the fields;
Eighth, organize work in your cotton fields based on the APPEAL of the Department of Agriculture and the Regional Farmers' Council on the announcement of the "Zarbdor Bir Mozakh" month in cotton cultivation from May 10 to June 10 of this year and the timely implementation of cotton agrotechnical measures;
Ninth, organize the above work and take advantage of the privileges and subsidies created by our President
