If a teacher holds a management education certificate, will they be entitled to an additional 50% bonus?
According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 681 of December 25, 2023, candidates for the position of school principal may enroll in management education courses organized by the A. Avloni National Institute for Pedagogical Excellence, provided they hold at least a bachelor's degree and meet the qualification requirements established for school principals. In this case, candidates with a management education certificate are entitled to participate in the competition for the position of school principal.
Suppose a teacher working at an educational institution has received a management education certificate. In this case, they will only be entitled to participate in the competition for the position of school principal and will not receive an additional bonus. Furthermore, paragraph 2-b of this regulation provides for the payment of an additional bonus only to management employees with a management education certificate (50% for school principals, 30% for deputy principals). This means that after teachers with a leadership certificate successfully complete the competition for a school principal position and begin working as principals, they will receive a 50% salary bonus.
Thus, teachers with a leadership certificate will not receive this bonus.
