What work has the City Khokim A. Daniyarov carried out over two years?
Were the promises fulfilled?
What was done so that the people of Nukus would be satisfied with our state?
Should we evaluate this solely by the roofing with slate of one thousand seven hundred households?
Should we deny the changes in Nukus today through a single broadcast?
Who tells the truth?
The answer to the question is below👇👇👇
#Notice #Choice I do not know this; what I do not know, Nukus knows.
Nukus, the capital of Karakalpakstan, was established in 1932. On the occasion of celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of our capital, writer Shavdirbay Seyitov’s essay titled "My Love, My Youth, Nukus!" was published in the November 28, 1992 issue of the "Erkin Qaraqalpaqstan" newspaper.
Whether in psychology or philosophy, there are such viewpoints: if thoughts imagined with sincere dedication are put on paper, years later they are created as a material world. As I mentioned earlier, for now I am not a scholar of any science. I am merely a creator who presents what I have seen and known, as a realistic observer, my observations, and what I have felt to the general public.
In the essay, the writer described the future Nukus like this:"...may your streets be filled with green trees, bright advertisements, and many, many storeys!"
Thirty-four years have passed since the essay was written. The writer’s winged words are being realized today with friendship and solidarity, as our city becomes more beautiful year by year, green spaces are being created, and the number of majestic multi-storey buildings is increasing.
Right at these moments, we want to present as information the changes in our Nukus over two years, the reforms being created there "For Human Dignity," and the improvement of infrastructure in the neighborhoods (mahallas).
In our city, there are 537 km of internal roads and 1,400 streets. The currently provided information may change over time. Because Nukus expands every year, and the processes of transferring the neighborhoods of districts close to the city into the city territory are being implemented. (Formerly belonging to the Nukus district: "Shadli awyl", "Nawqan bag", "Qutly makan", "Samanbay" etc. Citizens' Assembly of Neighborhoods / MPJ).
According to our information, in 2014–2015 and preceding years, laying a maximum of 10 km of asphalt roads per year was considered a great achievement.
I want to say and write the truth that most of us know. Until recent years, rainy days—especially the melting of snow—were troublesome for us. To keep our shoes from getting muddy, we wrapped plastic bags over them. On autumn and winter evenings, we cleaned the mud stuck to our boots with an old knife, washed them, and our footwear stood for quite a while on the heating pipe with water dripping from them. Especially the old broom and iron container full of water standing in front of organizations. There, we cleaned our feet before entering inside. Now when I remember it, I want to both laugh and cry. We passed those days as well; we have much to be thankful for.
The call of our Honorable President: "Our great and noble goal is to build a New Karakalpakstan within New Uzbekistan through our joint dedicated labor" is being proven in practice, and we are stepping toward a bright future and a happy life.
In our capital, while the asphalt paving of 110 km of internal roads was achieved over two years based on the "Initiative Budget", an additional 38 km of asphalt roads were laid with the implementation of a number of decisions and decrees in the city of Nukus. Aqmang'yt Street, which passes through "G'one qala" MPJ, was renovated with asphalt roads 22 meters wide and 1,100 meters long. This was a historical event, a historical process. Passengers know well how vehicles used to get stuck along this very street.
If you remember, in some years the trade of electric heating devices in the markets was extremely "hot". Wasn't this a reflection of the low and weak natural gas pressure in households? That is, a problem! Well, was attention paid to the natural gas issue? At this point, the natural gas pipelines constructed in 1980–1984 in the neighborhoods of "Nawqan bag", "Aq jag'ys", "Qos bulaq", "Jolshylar" etc. saw the renovation of over 45.6 km of pipes in 2025–2026. As a result of such noble deeds, gas pressure increased in the neighborhoods, and our people live without problems with natural gas throughout the year.
Previously, if the weather was slightly overcast, especially on rainy days, we rushed to charge our phones. There is no point in hiding it: for emergency situations, a candle was kept in the refrigerator of every house. Today, these events are almost forgotten, so to speak.
In Nukus, extensive work was carried out on power grids over two years. 74 new transformers were built, 183 of them were thoroughly repaired, and 248 km of SIP cables were pulled. For new construction, 38 km of SIP cables and 9 new transformers were installed.
The pitch-black nights and cold streets of Nukus... Have you not forgotten? Only in front of the houses of wealthy, well-off families would night lighting burn, and young people in the street would sit there conversing... Many crimes took place during pitch-black nights. Words like "The old man will take you away" were probably not just empty talk... What else do you expect from a pitch-black street?
Well, to what extent has attention been paid to night lighting in Nukus? Over two years, the internal street roads of forty-one neighborhoods were fully provided with night lighting, and additionally, 1,617 solar-paneled night lights were installed.
Was the problem of carrying water from the neighbor's house solved? The city was covered with clean drinking water at 99.9 percent. In this, the outdated drinking water networks from 1980–1996 were also covered and renovated. Today, drinking water flows right "under our noses." Problems like needing to fill a bucket with water found their solution. At present, water is probably not kept in buckets in anyone's house.
It is no secret that when we said pedestrian path, we understood the regular road where cars pass. Years passed, and now we came to understand that there is a special path for pedestrians as well. In our city, 41 km of pedestrian paths were built, and the surroundings of roads in the most remote areas were also improved. For example, concrete paths for pedestrians were constructed in the areas of "Qum awyl", "Isbilermenler aymaqy" (Business Area), "Qutly makan", "Qutly qonys", "Jolshylar", "Nawqan bag", "Jayxun", and "Tele oray" (TV Center).
In recent years, on social networks, we have been witnessing videos where foreign tourists as well as our local tourists praise the lush green streets of Nukus city and express their gratitude. Over two years, a 4-hectare area of "Yashil Makon" (Green Space) was organized, where recreation spots were built in 18 neighborhoods. The "Jas awlad" neighborhood was completely integrated into the digitalization system, and landscaping works were completed. Based on the "Zarbdor" experience, the areas of "Ornek", "G'arezsyslyk", "Xalyqlar doslyg'y", and "Shymbay shayxana" MPJ were covered, and practical works are continuing there.
Especially—the bitter truth—one of the places where we wanted to hide the problem was the Nukus farmers' market (dehqon bozori). There was no opportunity for our people to shop freely on rainy and snowy days. Today, everything is different! We could not even imagine such a market before.
We want to present today's provided information merely as an introduction. It would be possible to write and prove everything one by one, but we think modern people in a fast-paced era do not have time to read extensive material. For instance, we did not write about schools, kindergartens, night illumination lights along central streets, updates to bus stops, the allocation of 60 million sums for the renovation of each house for 51 families, or the provision of water supply to plot lands in eight neighborhoods within the framework of the "From Poverty to Prosperity" program.
...Thirty-four years later, every wish written with sincere dedication by Shavdirbay Seyitov—"...may your streets be filled with green trees, bright advertisements, and many, many storeys!"—is like a letter sent to the future's mailbox! Today, on the wide, asphalted streets of Nukus, in the radiant lights glowing at night, in the majestic buildings recently erected, and through the improvement and creative work that has entered every neighborhood, it has turned into a material form, and we are witnessing this. We are living as "New Uzbekistan" in a prosperous destination.
As we all know, during our President's visit to Karakalpakstan, he unexpectedly went to 24/7 Street in our city of Nukus. We watched on social networks how people out for a walk on the street expressed their satisfaction, saying "Respected President." Today, seeing the satisfaction on the faces of our people on the 41 km pedestrian path, in prosperous neighborhoods lit with 1,617 solar-paneled lights, and during meetings with our President on 24/7 Street, how can one not create?
What will the beauty of tomorrow's Nukus be like? I do not know this, but my Nukus, which grows more beautiful year by year, knows this very well!
E. Sagalatdinova
