Love Nukus, Show It Your Care
We often expect nothing less from society and those around us than kindness, compassion, and humanity. We all aspire to live lives where we are loved and cherished. Yet all too often, we forget to show that very same care and affection to the world around us. Just like people, nature—and our beloved hometown of Nukus—craves our love, care, and attention.
Lately, it seems some social media users have become overly focused on seeking out flaws in the positive transformations taking place across Nukus. At times, we tend to forget a simple truth: our city is not merely a geographical space defined by high-rises and apartment complexes.
Nukus is our breath; it is our home. The appearance and rhythm of a city serve as a mirror to the inner world, values, and culture of its people. Even so, Nukus continues to embrace renewal with its beautiful identity, extending a warm and welcoming embrace to all of us.
The wide-ranging reforms initiated by our President, the ongoing drive to beautify our cities and villages, and the noble policy centered on human dignity—anchored in the belief that "We all deserve to live happy, prosperous lives today"—are visibly bearing fruit in every region and neighborhood.
Today, Nukus City Khokim Abat Daniyarov, alongside heads of relevant departments and organizations, conducted an on-site inspection of the "Hasratli Ona" and "Vatanparvar" cultural and recreational spaces in our capital. The visit aimed to exchange ideas and consult on upcoming landscaping and development plans.
For context, the "Victory" Monument, dedicated to the memory of World War II veterans, was originally erected in 1967. The "Hasratli Ona" Monument was installed in 2001 and restored in 2014, while the 1.5-hectare "Vatanparvar" park was officially commissioned in 2021.
Encouragingly, during the second season of the 2026 "Participatory Budget" initiative, residents of the "Sharq" neighborhood successfully won the competition to secure funding for the beautification of this exact site.
The Khokim's visit was directly tied to these upcoming creative efforts. Discussions were held with architects and urban planners to execute the landscaping with refined architectural finesse, as well as to modernize the pedestrian paths and the "Book of Memory" memorial. Sector leaders were issued specific directives to resolve existing issues and deliver high-quality, lasting transformations.
In the coming months, through our President's initiatives and the unity of our people, this revitalized plaza will be transformed into a modern, accessible, and comfortable leisure hub for both residents and guests of Nukus.
