A GREETING FROM SUNNATILLA KHAQNAZAROV, FIRST DEPUTY KHOKIM OF NISHON DISTRICT, ON UZBEK LANGUAGE DAY
Dear fellow residents of the district!
I sincerely congratulate you all on October 21 — Uzbek Language Day!
Our mother tongue is a symbol of our national identity, spirituality, and invaluable cultural heritage. It embodies the centuries-old history of our people, our rich culture, traditions, and moral values.
On October 21, 1989, the Uzbek language was granted the status of the state language. This historic event marked an important milestone in the development of our national statehood. Today, enhancing the prestige of our language, expanding its use, and fostering respect for the mother tongue among younger generations remain important priorities for all of us.
Preserving the purity of the Uzbek language, adhering to literary standards, and using it correctly in everyday communication and official documentation are responsibilities we all share.
On this special occasion, I wish you good health, family happiness, peace, prosperity, and well-being. May the prestige and beauty of our mother tongue continue to grow, and may its rich heritage be passed on to future generations!
Happy Uzbek Language Day!
